We are hosting a pet pawtraits session at Howden Andover to raise money for Unity, a local charity with ‘pet food bank’.
The pet food bank is to try to prevent dogs ending up in kennels due to owners not being able to feed, treat them medically and house them. Lots of kennels are packed at the moment due to the cost of living crisis, and Unity have opened up their pet food bank to help with the ever growing stresses of daily life.
A pet can be somebody’s lifeline, companion, friend, exercise, the reason that they get up in the morning, so to see them being given up is heart-breaking. We hope to help fund the food bank. We have a local photographer who has offered to donate his full fee to the cause already, and are offering free digital pictures of pets – however encouraging a donation in return.
