Between 16th August and 25th October, the Howden Equine Insurance team and community are aiming to hack, walk, trot and canter a collective 527 miles. This represents the distance between Blair Castle international Horse trials and Bicton Arena, which hosts a number of key events throughout the year.

The BE Support Trust was founded in 2021 to help BE (British Eventing) competing members through difficult times, whether that be recovering from an equine related injury or coping with mental health challenges. The charity offers four types of support: general well-being support, medical support, mental health support, including a 24/7 mental health helpline, and financial support. Regardless of whether the accident happens out competing, out training or at home the charity aims to help in a prompt and sympathetic manner. While still in its infancy the charity is experiencing significant growth and the number of people contacting the charity has doubled this year.

We are also supported by the Ridely App. Please join us on Ridely to track your miles. You can see our progress and earn badges as you ride.

All donations large and small appreciated.

“On behalf of everyone at the BE Support Trust I would like to thank the Howden Equine Insurance team and everyone taking part in this fundraiser for their support. The charity relies solely on donations from the public and this fundraiser will allow us to offer charitable support to more people who need it.” – Jane Hunter-Walsh, General Manager.
